With upgrading to the new version of Os x i.e. Lion os x, the scrolling pattern has changed and is reversed. Kind of uncomfortable if you are used to using the older and more accepted version of scrolling pattern.


Following is how you can revert OS X Lion’s page scrolling to the old direction.

1. Start System Preferences



2. Click Trackpad.



3. Uncheck the box that says “When using gestures to scroll or navigate, move content in the direction of finger movement“

4. This should get the old scrolling behaviour back.

The change only affects the current logged in user.

Step 1: Launch App Store App on your Mac Running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 (If you don’t have it, upgrade your Snow Leopard to 10.6.6)

Step 2: Sign-In using your iTunes/ AppStore Account

Step 3: Install any free app – Lets say you installed “Twitter”

Step 4: Once installed, launch Finder, navigate to Application folder and look for Twitter App

Step 5: Right click on Twitter.app, Select “Show Package Contents”

Step 6: Navigate to /Applications/Twitter.app/Contents/ and let this windows be open

Step 7: Now, Search and download the App (Mac App Store Apps) that you want to crack from www.4macosx.com

Step 8: Drag the downloaded App into Application Folder

Step 9: Right click on the App, Select “Show Package Contents” and Navigate into /Contents/ Folder

Step 10: Here, Copy the following file from /Applications/Twitter.app/Contents/ – Which was opened at Step 6



Step 11: Now, paste the copied files into downloaded app /Contents/ folder

Step 12: That’s it! Close all the windows and Enjoy.

After doing a lot of research and trying out some hints, finally I could install Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on an iMac G5 1.8 GHz, and I would like to share with you the solution that I got.

This works for PowerPC Macs that don't have a Dual Layer DVD, and you wish to install Leopard using an external USB Drive instead.

Set a new account (+) (in prefs on Mail.app).
Set the new account to use IMAP (this is important).

Turn SSL on (port 993).

Lion's window edge resizing includes additional behaviors governed by modifier keys.

Holding down the Option key while dragging window edges resizes the opposite edge as well.

Holding Shift resizes the whole window, retaining its proportions. Adding Option to that resizes the window around its center.

A variety of third-party utilities can display details about the track that's currently playing in iTunes. But Hints reader Keir-thomas discovered a secret preference setting built into OS X Lion that allows song notifications to pop up over the iTunes Dock icon. Here’s how to enable them:

First, quit iTunes if it’s already running. Fire up Terminal (from /Applications/Utilities/) and paste in the following command, then hit Return:



The first part of that command turns on the Dock’s ability to display iTunes notifications; the second part restarts your Dock. (That restart may take a couple of seconds.)

Now, relaunch iTunes, select a track, and press play. Down in the Dock, you’ll see a brief notification with the song’s name and artist. The notification will appear whenever the track changes, regardless of the app you’re currently using; it will then fade away on its own.

If you decide you don't like the notifications, you can get rid of them by issuing the same command, but replacing TRUE with FALSE.
